Feinfühlig, gleichzeitig rau und kraftvoll.
Wunderschön, dreckig und mutig.
Delicate yet raw and powerful.
Beautiful yet dirty and gritty.
The Hamburg-based blues-rock formation ”Williamsburgh” took their name from the young, multicultural and rough city district.
A place full of surprises, always turning out very different than you expected.
And that’s exactly how the these five musicians talk about their style of music.
Lead singer Gosia Jasinska takes every audience on an emotional journey, aiming for their hearts from the first note to the very last. She has been compared with Janis Joplin, Beth Hart and Amy Winehouse, blending a powerful voice with soft and gentle sounds that literally get under your skin.
Always backed by her gang of skilled and passionate musicians, Michael Siassi, Ray Werner, Christian Waltermann and Stephan Liebold, never hesitant to improvise or ”play around” with the songs, making every live session a very unique experience.
All members have been a part of the vibrant Hamburg blues underground scene for some years, and the band almost magically came about in early 2016 after a legendary all night living room jam session. They knew they had to get on stage together and in the summer of 2016 this dream came true at the ”Blues for refugees“ music festival.
